Towards a Framework for Detecting Energy Drain in Mobile Applications - An Architecture Overview
Fri 20 Jul 2018 15:15 - 15:30 at Hamburg - Bug Finding
Energy consumption has become a crucial aspect of mobile application development. Still developers lack tools and frameworks for energy program analysis, which would help them to uncover how energy is distributed over their application and thus gain insights on their applications energy behavior. To address this problem, we propose an architecture for an energy program analysis framework together with an overview on the current state of implementation. It is expected that the presented architecture builds a common foundation to address subsequent questions regarding energy consumption on mobile application platforms.
